Art Of Self Analysis For Leaders

The most common problem that we face is the failure to control our mind and as a result of this, lack of concentration. Leaders need to analyse their mind and should have a control over their mind. They need to understand the fact that the great leaders know what they do and what will be the outcome of their actions. To add up to this, I wish to bring an ancient book to your notice, "The Mind and Its Education" from the author George Herbert Betts. An excerpt from the book is given below,

LACK OF CONCENTRATION.--There are two chief types of inattention whose danger threatens every person. _First_, we may be thinking about the right things, but not thinking _hard_ enough. We lack mental pressure. Outside thoughts which have no relation to the subject in hand may not trouble us much, but we do not attack our problem with vim. The current in our stream of consciousness is moving too slowly. We do not gather up all our mental forces and mass them on the subject before us in a way that means victory. Our thoughts may be sufficiently focused, but they fail to "set fire." It is like focusing the sun's rays while an eclipse is on. They lack energy. They will not kindle the paper after they have passed through the lens. This kind of attention means mental dawdling. It means inefficiency. For the individual it means defeat in life's battles; for the nation it means mediocrity and stagnation.

A college professor said to his faithful but poorly prepared class, "Judging from your worn and tired appearance, young people, you are putting in twice too many hours on study." At this commendation the class brightened up visibly. "But," he continued, "judging from your preparation, you do not study quite half hard enough." Happy is the student who, starting in on his lesson rested and fresh, can study with such concentration that an hour of steady application will leave him mentally exhausted and limp. That is one hour of triumph for him, no matter what else he may have accomplished or failed to accomplish during the time. He can afford an occasional pause for rest, for difficulties will melt rapidly away before him. He possesses one key to successful achievement.

Here, in this book he beautifully describes what is mind and the relation between mind and the actions we do in our day to day life and he explains us how introspection helps us to understand our mind to some extent. Every leader who wants to lead their team better by understanding his people has to learn a lot from this book. Once you are able to assess the minds of your people, it is easy for you to coach them with leadership qualities and motivate accordingly. He also talks about mental wandering which we experience in our day to day life. This is an excellent source of knowledge for people who give presentations and leadership sessions. The points given in this book will help you motivate your team and keep their attention on your topic. Here is an excerpt about mental wandering,

MENTAL WANDERING.--_Second_, we may have good mental power and be able to think hard and efficiently on any one point, but lack the power to think in a straight line. Every stray thought that comes along is a "will-o'-the-wisp" to lead us away from the subject in hand and into lines of thought not relating to it. Who has not started in to think on some problem, and, after a few moments, been surprised to find himself miles away from the topic upon which he started! Or who has not read down a page and, turning to the next, found that he did not know a word on the preceding page, his thoughts having wandered away, his eyes only going through the process of reading! Instead of sticking to the _a_, _b_, _c_, _d_, etc., of our topic and relating them all up to A, thereby reaching a solution of the problem, we often jump at once to _x_, _y_, _z_, and find ourselves far afield with all possibility of a solution gone. We may have brilliant thoughts about _x_, _y_, _z_, but they are not related to anything in particular, and so they pass from us and are gone--lost in oblivion because they are not attached to something permanent.

For people who love science, here is that meaty part for you. He also talks about the relation between brain and mind. This is very much useful for people who provide counselling for teenagers and mentaly disabled patients to relate the brain and the actions they do. The author relates mind and brain as below,

INTERACTION OF MIND AND BRAIN.--How, then, come these two widely different facts, mind and brain, to be so related in our speech? Why are the terms so commonly interchanged?--It is because mind and brain are so vitally related in their processes and so inseparably connected in their work. No movement of our thought, no bit of sensation, no memory, no feeling, no act of decision but is accompanied by its own particular activity in the cells of the brain.

It is this that the psychologist has in mind when he says, _no psychosis without its corresponding neurosis_. So far as our present existence is concerned, then, no mind ever works except through some brain, and a brain without a mind becomes but a mass of dead matter, so much clay. Mind and brain are perfectly adapted to each other. Nor is this mere accident. For through the ages of man's past history each has grown up and developed into its present state of efficiency by working in conjunction with the other. Each has helped form the other and determine its qualities. Not only is this true for the race in its evolution, but for every individual as he passes from infancy to maturity.

Awaken the Leader in You: 10 Easy Steps To Develop Your Leadership Skills

"The miracle power that elevates the few is to be found in their industry, application, and perseverance, under the promptings of a brave determined spirit." - Mark Twain

Many motivational experts like to say that leaders are made, not born. I would argue the exact opposite. I believe we are all natural born leaders, but have been deprogrammed along the way. As children, we were natural leaders - curious and humble, always hungry and thirsty for knowledge, with an incredibly vivid imagination; we knew exactly what we wanted, were persistent and determined in getting what we wanted, and had the ability to motivate, inspire, and influence everyone around us to help us in accomplishing our mission. So why is this so difficult to do as adults? What happened?

As children, over time, we got used to hearing, No, Don't, and Can't. No! Don't do this. Don't do that. You can't do this. You can't do that. No! Many of our parents told us to keep quiet and not disturb the adults by asking silly questions. This pattern continued into high school with our teachers telling us what we could do and couldn't do and what was possible. Then many of us got hit with the big one institutionalized formal education known as college or university. Unfortunately, the traditional educational system doesn't teach students how to become leaders; it teaches students how to become polite order takers for the corporate world. Instead of learning to become creative, independent, self-reliant, and think for themselves, most people learn how to obey and intelligently follow rules to keep the corporate machine humming.

Developing the Leader in you to live your highest life, then, requires a process of unlearning by self-remembering and self-honoring. Being an effective leader again will require you to be brave and unlock the door to your inner attic, where your childhood dreams lie, going inside to the heart. Based on my over ten years research in the area of human development and leadership, here are ten easy steps you can take to awaken the Leader in you and rekindle your passion for greatness.

1. Humility. Leadership starts with humility. To be a highly successful leader, you must first humble yourself like a little child and be willing to serve others. Nobody wants to follow someone who is arrogant. Be humble as a child, always curious, always hungry and thirsty for knowledge. For what is excellence but knowledge plus knowledge plus knowledge - always wanting to better yourself, always improving, always growing.
When you are humble, you become genuinely interested in people because you want to learn from them. And because you want to learn and grow, you will be a far more effective listener, which is the #1 leadership communication tool. When people sense you are genuinely interested in them, and listening to them, they will naturally be interested in you and listen to what you have to say.

2. SWOT Yourself. SWOT is an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Although it's a strategic management tool taught at Stanford and Harvard Business Schools and used by large multinationals, it can just as effectively be used in your own professional development as a leader. This is a useful key to gain access to self-knowledge, self-remembering, and self-honoring. Start by listing all your Strengths including your accomplishments. Then write down all your Weaknesses and what needs to be improved. Make sure to include any doubts, anxieties, fears, and worries that you may have. These are the demons and dragons guarding the door to your inner attic. By bringing them to conscious awareness you can begin to slay them. Then proceed by listing all the Opportunities you see available to you for using your strengths. Finally, write down all the Threats or obstacles that are currently blocking you or that you think you will encounter along the way to achieving your dreams.

3. Follow Your Bliss. Regardless of how busy you are, always take time to do what you love doing. Being an alive and vital person vitalizes others. When you are pursuing your passions, people around you cannot help but feel impassioned by your presence. This will make you a charismatic leader. Whatever it is that you enjoy doing, be it writing, acting, painting, drawing, photography, sports, reading, dancing, networking, or working on entrepreneurial ventures, set aside time every week, ideally two or three hours a day, to pursue these activities. Believe me, you'll find the time. If you were to video tape yourself for a day, you would be shocked to see how much time goes to waste!

4. Dream Big. If you want to be larger than life, you need a dream that's larger than life. Small dreams won't serve you or anyone else. It takes the same amount of time to dream small than it does to dream big. So be Big and be Bold! Write down your One Biggest Dream. The one that excites you the most. Remember, don't be small and realistic; be bold and unrealistic! Go for the Gold, the Pulitzer, the Nobel, the Oscar, the highest you can possibly achieve in your field. After you ve written down your dream, list every single reason why you CAN achieve your dream instead of worrying about why you can't.

5. Vision. Without a vision, we perish. If you can't see yourself winning that award and feel the tears of triumph streaming down your face, it's unlikely you will be able to lead yourself or others to victory. Visualize what it would be like accomplishing your dream. See it, smell it, taste it, hear it, feel it in your gut.

6. Perseverance. Victory belongs to those who want it the most and stay in it the longest. Now that you have a dream, make sure you take consistent action every day. I recommend doing at least 5 things every day that will move you closer to your dream.

7. Honor Your Word. Every time you break your word, you lose power. Successful leaders keep their word and their promises. You can accumulate all the toys and riches in the world, but you only have one reputation in life. Your word is gold. Honor it.

8. Get a Mentor. Find yourself a mentor. Preferably someone who has already achieved a high degree of success in your field. Don't be afraid to ask. You've got nothing to lose. Mentors.ca is an excellent mentoring website and a great resource for finding local mentoring programs. They even have a free personal profile you can fill out in order to potentially find you a suitable mentor. In addition to mentors, take time to study autobiographies of great leaders that you admire. Learn everything you can from their lives and model some of their successful behaviors.

9. Be Yourself. Use your relationships with mentors and your research on great leaders as models or reference points to work from, but never copy or imitate them like a parrot. Everyone has vastly different leadership styles. History books are filled with leaders who are soft-spoken, introverted, and quiet, all the way to the other extreme of being out- spoken, extroverted, and loud, and everything in between. A quiet and simple Gandhi or a soft-spoken peanut farmer named Jimmy Carter, who became president of the United States and won a Nobel Peace Prize, have been just as effective world leaders as a loud and flamboyant Churchill, or the tough leadership style employed by The Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher.
I admire Hemingway as a writer. But if I copy Hemingway, I'd be a second or third rate Hemingway, at best, instead of a first rate Sharif. Be yourself, your best self, always competing against yourself and bettering yourself, and you will become a first rate YOU instead of a second rate somebody else.

10. Give. Finally, be a giver. Leaders are givers. By giving, you activate a universal law as sound as gravity life gives to the giver, and takes from the taker. The more you give, the more you get. If you want more love, respect, support, and compassion, give love, give respect, give support, and give compassion. Be a mentor to others. Give back to your community. As a leader, the only way to get what you want, is by helping enough people get what they want first. As Sir Winston Churchill once said, "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give."

7 Common Obstacles to Online Business Success

Online business success tends to elude many and for varying reasons none of which can not be easily overcome. The typical business entrepreneur entering the internet 'arena' generally have little or no experience building a business or even being their own boss! Although lacking experience is not enough to keep you from being successful online more problems can arise and compound themselves when you factor in the distracting internet environment!

Here are 7 common obstacles that tend to increase the difficulty for many of becoming successful online when they are building a business.

Info Overload

One thing about the internet is that you will never be at a loss for finding new information on any subject imaginable. The problem with this is that when building a business you need to be focused on what it is you are trying to achieved and not allow yourself to get distracted. Believe you me the internet can easily distract you with everything it has to offer!

Lack of Direction

As mentioned above focus is very important when working online and this also means you need to know what to focus upon. Without a plan or definite set of objectives you will find yourself 'floating' aimlessly chasing after many opportunities but accomplishing nothing! As in life, in order to be successful online you need to have some sort of direction since without it you are lost!

Lack of Passion

The importance of having a certain level of enthusiasm or passion for what it is you are doing can not be talked about enough. This passion will bring with it plenty of energy and motivation that you are going to need since it will take some time to establish yourself! Many people lack this and therefore seem to 'fizzle' out after a short period of time.

Indecision

As a business entrepreneur you will have many decisions that will have to be made and quite often they will need to be made quickly. The internet is a dynamic and fast paced environment that presents many changes and opportunities. Your ability to think fast and move even faster will be a major factor in the degree of success you experience. Indecision on your part will result in many lost opportunities and plenty of frustration.

Business Inexperience

In most cases people working online did not start out with a lot or any previous experience as entrepreneurs. Knowing how to develop a plan of action and also how to manage yourself and time are key assets in order for you to become successful online. None of these 'skills' are difficult to learn but they can not be overlooked since in doing so it will makes your efforts all the more difficult and the results less rewarding.

Negative Influence

It is very important to surround yourself with positive minded people who share the same interest as you. Critics, skeptics and people who in general are afraid to take a chance at anything will be the first to tell you it can NOT be done! They live in fear of another person who succeeds at something they are not willing or motivated to try therefore they will be a source of negative reinforcement. Building a business is hard enough so you do not need people like this making you question yourself all the time!

Easily Discouraged

Earlier on we spoke of the need for having a passion for what you do and this is a major reason why. The results you are looking for will likely not occur overnight so you will need to continue applying effort and be patient. The thing about failure is you do not really fail until you actually give up and getting discouraged easily tends to make you quit your efforts before you experience success.

Achieving business success on the internet comes with some inherent but minor difficulties that can be overcome. In most cases the problems usually can be traced back to an overall lack of experience at building a business or even managing yourself. In either case the average business entrepreneur is quite capable of learning what they need to know and acquiring the needed experience. On the other hand when you consider the distractions that the internet environment presents, these minor problems tend to get magnified! The discussion above reviews 7 common obstacles that result from these 'conditions' and as you can see none of them are insurmountable! It boils down to your own ambition and desire to become successful online and if this desire is strong enough these obstacles can be easily overcome!

Brand Building Takes Effort Not Genius

Brand building is one of the most important aspects of any online business development strategy. It is important however to realize that developing an online brand is not complicated simply because it is more a process than it is a strategy involving genius! The ultimate purpose behind online branding is to make yourself or your business easier to identify from the masses thereby giving you a competitive edge.

Here are the 3 simple steps you will need to take in order to establish the online brand you want to have for business purposes on the internet!

Reputation

You must first select the image or brand that best suits your purpose and is consistent with what you intend to deliver. It is always a good idea to select something that is easily identifiable but do not lose sight of the importance of maintaining relevancy so as to not confuse people. Remember it is this image upon which you will now build your reputation and online brand so make it a positive one!

Reinforcement

It is now time to get your new image out in front of people on the internet so you need to select some strategies that will help you get the exposure you want and need. Circulating content in the form of articles or viral reports is a great start. The use of social network sites is also highly effective as is interacting on blogs and forums that are relevant to your niche. What you need to do is be consistent in reinforcing the image you have selected and this consistency is very important to make your branding efforts effective!

Repetition

Online branding is an act of reinforcing your message or image repeatedly. This is where it becomes more of a process and less of a science because you are really following an established pattern of activities. It is this repetition that will help to firmly plant your new brand in the minds of people who you are basically conditioning. This is really a process where people are learning to associate you with the image they are continually being exposed to therefore your perseverance is what will make this work!

Brand building is an essential component of any online business development strategy because it helps increase your competitiveness. Considering the importance of online branding it is somewhat surprising to realize it is more about perseverance then it is about marketing genius! This is a non-complicated process which can be successfully accomplished following the 3 simple steps discussed above. Although an online brand does take a little time to firmly establish, the efforts involved in doing so can be as simple as learning to ride a bike

Online Businesses Ideas

A good number of people who would like to earn by making use of online resources cannot make a forward step and this is not attributed to their inability. Many a time you will find these people possess the appropriate measure of investment as well as the desirable expertise to start an online venture, however they simply cannot decide on the type of business they could go for. The majority of people find it hard to come to a decision on what they really want. Just like in a relationship, it is constantly difficult to establish the appropriate time to ask the “question”. Should I marry him/her? Would he/ she be the suitable person? Is establishing an online company the right option? Strange comparison, but believe me it is the correct one!

To help you keep away from this bewildering condition of agonizing confusion, we came to a conclusion of recommending one or two views on online businesses which you can set up easily. E-Book Business: This is for those who want to provide content-related services under which you can establish an e-book firm. Free lance writers can be hired to create e-books on mostly attractive subjects and sell them using your firm’s name. Monetary or Investment issues should not be a cause of concern since the operation cost you would incur would be very low. Ensure you balance your e-books prices to give you a reasonable profit and you don’t charge the customer too much, since overcharging will lead to loss of your customers and prospects.

Online Help Business: This is for those with psychological skills or who have studied psychology, philosophy or sociology. With this business you are able to give advice and solutions on tribulations that people go through in their every day life. Just ensure that your online business does not develop into an upcoming teller site. Your business is not supposed to be an adversary of logic, but a sound explanation of the way of thinking. Keep in mind that winning rather than breaking people’s trust is vital.

Virtual Support Business: This business is for those who wish to provide implicit assistance to those who need it for some specified monetary remuneration via an online interface. A Manual on How To Start An Online Business

Have you made up your mind to start your online venture in recent times? If yes, you have come to the right place. This article will offer you some vital guidelines on ways of starting your online firm. The initial step to be taken is coming up with a business plan. Not only should your business plan give a picture of the targeted customer section and also your marketing strategy i.e. ways of attracting customers to buy your products or services, but should also comprise your business paradigm which should visibly illustrate how your business will make money.

An inclusive and triumphant business plan which gives a picture of anticipated cash flows is a gate-pass to wooing financiers to your company, as these investors would keep you away from numerous financial predicaments.

Following the creation of a business plan, it becomes easier to decipher whether the business would be worthwhile or not. After you have been convincingly satisfied by your business plan, you should instigate pre business promotion. Pre business promotion or marketing is used to refer to advertising done for a specific business prior to that business becoming operational.

Not only does this help you ascertain the customer’s reaction to your venture, but it also helps in scrutinizing your business’s capability. The pre business advertising must be equally accustomed and online for an online business such as yours. Normally, conventional methods such as printing teaser leaflets, erecting placards, creation of your business’s ad and putting it on show in intended areas, create a consciousness thrill and thus primarily helps to extend the customer’s grasp of what you would be offering. Online or electronic marketing can simply be done on social and professional networks, websites and search engines that are frequently visited by your targeted customers.

Be aware of the fact that marketing is not only restricted to advertising via words, but it also involves all activities geared towards achieving customer contentment. You should also keep in mind the four Ps of marketing i.e. Product, Price, Promotion and Placement. In reality you can craft this concept to be a 5 P concept by addition of another P which would represent positioning. The use of pre business promotion enables you to place your product into the minds of its prospective buyers.

The aftermath of pre business selling would involve the creation of a website for your online firm. Ensure that the website is proficiently created and its design promotes the business’s product image you desire. At the same time as you create your website, remember that online ventures must have outstanding online support. Without this capability, your online venture will not carrying out its performance rating at its peak and hence the acquisition and preservation of customers will become an extremely taxing issue.

After you have managed to create a website that befits your online firm, purchase a domain label for the created website. After you have managed to register that website you can commence on the business’s activities! At this moment, it is safe to say that your business is in operation.

If you want to learn more on how your business can increase traffic go to increaserss.com and enjoy the true benefits that comes with more visitors in your business.

4. Learn and Relearn the basics – Think you’re too good to relearn the basics? Think again! If in the beginning you misunderstood the basics of doing things then you’re sure to fail the next time you take a step. So when you fail, go back to the beginning and study your mistake.

3. Update – If you’ve been in the internet business for a while, you know how important updating is. If you want the traffic to thicken in your website then you’d better make sure that your contents are current and up to date.

2. Advertise – Make yourself known to social networks. This is a great way to promote yourself aside form using catchy titles to grab the attention of audiences. Social networks are alive 24/7, 365 days a year and the best part is that social networks are internationally known. Make use of this tool to let people from different parts of the globe know what you are offering.

1. Improve and Evaluate – Always make room for improvement. Evaluate if you must but most of all, make sure that as the time and season changes so does your versatility to the cyber world.

So there you have it.

What makes these tips important is the fact that they are easily forgotten. They are simple that’s why they are often underestimated by most professionals, which shouldn’t be the case. Little did you know that once you master these, they surely won’t let your business down the drain. Follow these and the next time you open your email, you’ll be reading mails sales and traffic on your site and other Internet Income Opportunities coming your way.

Work At Home Job Opportunities – How To Constantly Generate Online Income from Them

Working from home is not easy because there are lots of distractions and obstacles involved. Your attitude towards these seeming distractions holds the key to your success or failure. For instance, for the simple fact that there is no big boss lurking around the corner to monitor you or bark out orders at you while working at home, you sometimes get relaxed. Even if you have to get out of the house to go to an office, things are sometimes taken for granted.

Those of us who work from home on the other hand will testify to the fact that to successfully pay yourself, you will work twice as much until you fully establish a passive source of income that will constantly generate money for you. You must still work as if you were committed to the outside job. If you fail to do so, the next thing is that you will fall into your comfort zone where you will no longer get up early enough to go to work and may not even remember to plan for the next day's activities.

To work at home and consistently earn full-time salary on your own, you must understand what is involved and place everything into proper perspective. You must show some seriousness with your work because your attitude can affect your work at home job positively or negatively. You must take into consideration the fact that no one will pay you any money unless you have something he considers very important to exchange with you.

When you are working for a company and earning salary, the company considers your services very crucial to their success. You get paid handsomely every month. You get out of bed early every morning to catch a bus and be on your way to the office. You will not want to give your boss the opportunity of doubting your commitment to duty.

Therefore to successfully work at home and earn enough money to meet your responsibilities, you should take the following measures.

[i] First, you must watch your attitude towards the work you have chosen to do at home. Identify those programs and activities that will reward you financially if you invest your time in them.

[ii] keep good records of your work at home. Create an Activity Chart with rows and columns that should run daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.

[iii] At the top of the columns, list all your online income generating activities to the right. whether it is article writing, blogging, web content writing, web designing, Logo design, Graphics design, web programming, Affiliate marketing etc.

[iv] along the rows from top running downwards on the left, create your yearly calendar from first day of January to the last day of December. Include the dates from Monday to Sunday.

[v] at the end of each day, write down in each square box formed at the meeting point of each row and column, all the income generating activities that you successfully carried out for each work at home project.

This is one type of self-evaluation which will not only help you assess yourself but will also enable you to eliminate time-wasting activities which often happen when we go online without a working plan.

With this working plan, you will begin to experience purposeful online work from home activities. You will discover that even if the dollars have not started rolling in, your self-confidence will soar. This, as psychologists will tell us, is paramount for success in the life of a work from home entrepreneur. Give the suggestions here a trial and see how it will work out for you. This is to your success while working from home

2. Blogger.com Blogs Management - For those who don't have blogs already or don't have the resources to spend money on multiple domain names for the niche blogs, this software will be useful. With The Most Powerful Autoblogging Software, you can manage an unlimited number of blogger.com blogs and schedule posting to them daily.

3. Full RSS Feed Content Extraction - Most RSS feeds contain only the summary of the content page, usually between 150 to 250 words. This is not enough to create content for a website. What The Most Powerful Autoblogging Software does is that it uses complex algorithms to directly visit each link in the RSS feed and grab the full content and post to your blog. In doing this, it removes items like links, ad codes, scripts, images, etc. which are part of the content but are not relevant to the particular post in the RSS feed. The software filters out unwanted stuff. Other auto blogging tools post whatever is displayed at the source website, making your site classified as spam or junk blog.

4. Unique Content Feature - You may be wondering about duplicate content issues. A duplicate content on a website cannot attract search engine traffic because search engines like Google hate duplicate content. Hence, The Most Powerful Autoblogging Software has a feature that uses online translator services to translate the content from one language to another to make it unique. The software has an in-built translation ability for 23 of the world's most popular languages like Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic etc. The Most Powerful Autoblogging Software automatically detects the language of the content you want to post and translates the content to any language you choose and then back to the original language. Hence, your blog is free from duplicate content penalty issues.

5. Post Scheduling - The search engines, Google for example, can easily fish out automated blogs if a large number of posts are made at once. The software has a feature to allow you schedule the posts with intervals between each post, making the blog appear natural to the search engines. You can schedule posts for days, weeks, months or even years. It is advisable to maintain a maximum of 4 posts per day to each blog in order not to have the blogger blog suspended by Google.

6. Multiple Blogs Management - With the installation of the software on your computer, you can manage thousands of blogs. This is unlike other autoblogging software that would have to be installed into each blog as a plugin. Imagine the time this would take you if you had to install the plugin to 1000 blogs.

The Bad Side

a. Grammatical Errors In Translation - Computers are not yet able to fully understand human languages. Hence, some sentences in the translated RSS feeds sometimes contain grammatical errors. If you want to manage few niche blogs with few articles, it is good to check for any errors and make necessary corrections before allowing the software to start posting. However, if your intention is to manage a blog empire with hundreds or thousands of niche blogs, I think you have no other choice than to leave them like that. The advantage of this is that your adsense click-through rate will increase because visitors would want to get out of your blog by clicking any link they see on your website.

b. Encourages Laziness - Using an automated blogging software makes you lazy because everything is already done for you. Depending too much on a software will prevent you from learning and understanding the individual niche markets and be able to develop a close relationship with your readers.

c. Conflicting Views - Autoposting content to your blogs could make your blog contain some conflicting views on the same issues. Conflicting views will be posted to the blog because you cannot monitor all the posts one by one if the items to be posted are many.

Conclusion

Investing in The Most Powerful Autoblogging Software will not be a waste because it will definitely yield the returns expected. If you are really serious about making money online or you just want to test the waters as to the most profitable niche markets, this is a software you should go for. The software is of high value and high quality at an extremely affordable price. One of the best tools around for the money you pay, and well worth the small investment.

What Is Leadership?

With a title like that you might think I bit off a little more than I can chew. You might be right, but because there are literally thousands of articles, blogs and websites dedicated to discussions of leadership, I wanted to offer a logical definition of it in a thousand words or less. Here goes...

Despite the multiplicity of interpretations we read every day, leadership can be defined simply as:

"Organizing a group of people to achieve a common goal"

A leader can be anyone. There is no need for any formal authority to lead. A person simply needs to have the will, the courage, the charisma and the ability to capture the imagination of one or more followers in order to be considered a leader.
Centuries ago, it was assumed that good and powerful leaders had naturally occurring leadership traits that set them apart from others...Hence, the term, "leaders are born not made". However, more recent studies have made it clear that given the right set of circumstances and with the appropriate motivation, most people can become true and effective leaders.

Some of the naturally occurring traits that make leadership ability come more easily to some people are:

Intelligence
Assertiveness
Diligence
Openness
Courage

When those instinctive traits are combined with learned skills and natural talents, variable levels of leadership ability may be reached. Without all of those traits, effective leadership is possible but much more difficult to achieve.

"It is important to note that one can lead much more effectively when the leadership endeavor involves something that the leader has good expertise in so that he or she may set an example"

It must also be something in which the followers have a need for or an interest in being lead in. For example: An expert tennis player might make a great tennis coach but a lousy sales manager. In addition, there would be no point in trying to lead someone to better customer service skills when he or she works in the depths of a coal mine.

As trite as those examples might seem, it is not unusual that people are put into leadership positions that they are not capable of handling simply because they have done well in another unrelated area. Also, self-promoting or toxic people who have no business trying to lead will often attempt to influence or lead coworkers in inappropriate directions. Both situations will create poor results.

"Good and powerful leaders need to have self-awareness and a solid grip on their own emotions"

Leadership skill necessarily includes the ability to set a mood or tone for the team. Leaders unavoidably telegraph their moods and attitudes to their followers who will adopt the preeminent emotional tone of the leader and carry it throughout the organization.

"One must not assume the only way to achieve financial success or even team success is through servant leadership, participative leadership, or compassionate leadership"

Given the right impetus and favourable circumstances an autocratic, command and control leader can drive his team to success both in the business world, on a sports court or on a battlefield. In the twenty-first century, we tend to reject that style of leadership, but it can be an effective (albeit, potentially negative and harmful) form of leadership nonetheless. If the team is not engaged and motivated, a strong autocrat might be the only leader who can create the environment needed for success.

Modern leadership lecturers and writers also reject the term "management", since it seems to imply a lack of compassion and favours transactional or task orientation as opposed to transformational or people-oriented leadership. In reality, all organizations have some form of tasks and a specific number of people so it is evident that management may still be an integral part of the leadership cycle in many cases.

"In essence, even bad leadership is a form of leadership"

The efficacy of any leadership style can only be measured in results. In other words if the team meets or exceeds all of its goals, under the direction of its leader, those who benefit from those results may assume that the leadership was good regardless of the leader's style. However, it is important to note that bad leadership in any form is usually short-lived.

The best and generally, most effective form of leadership occurs when a leader is able to maintain a high level of concern for his or her people while simultaneously keeping high-level performance paramount in the minds of all participants. This form of leadership often goes a step beyond servant leadership because it allows the leader to accurately control production and monitor results for maximum success. A leader who can juggle tasks and people without sacrificing integrity for either is a great leader indeed. That leader will almost always turn out better performance, more production and measurable growth while presiding over happy, well-engaged employees.

"It is important to recognize that groups of working people are assembled primarily to create some sort of product or service"

Great leaders are able to create buy-in to the vision of the organization while accepting and embracing the direction of its leaders. The key to buy-in and strong followership is communication.

Great Leaders are Great Communicators!

Ten ways to recognize a great leader:

Great leaders create a sense of unity amongst all team members.
Great leaders have strong interpersonal skills and they encourage interpersonal communication amongst team members.
Great leaders have the ability to create a unanimous desire amongst team members to achieve common goals.
Great leaders communicate their vision to their team enthusiastically.
Great leaders constantly seek feedback from team members.
Great leaders never stop learning new leadership techniques.
Great leaders set fair and reasonable performance standards and assist team members in achieving them.
Great leaders set a conscientious, diligent example for the team.
Great leaders never settle for mediocrity from themselves or from their team.
Great leaders give credit for great results to the team.

What is leadership?

"Leadership is the embodiment of the positive dynamics evident in all great human relationships within one person or leadership team!"

All the Best

No To-Do List For Leadership - 5 Ways to BE a Great Leader

I guess as humans, life is a lot easier if we are given a list of what to do, as opposed to being given instruction on how to be. Consider religion. Many world religions or denominations base their faith on to-do lists. Pilgrimages, rituals, touching statues, prostrating, repetitive prayer and giving money are a lot easier to absorb and follow than a command to "love your neighbour as yourself." How are we supposed to do that exactly? Isn't it much easier if we can just be told what we need to do?

Similarly, relationships would be a lot easier if you have a to-do list. Consider the husband whose wife is unhappy with him and doesn't know why. In trying to find out why she is unhappy, perhaps he gets the response, "well, if you don't know then I'm not going to tell you." Truth is, whatever he has done or not done, she is probably not feeling loved or important to him. Maybe if he had a list of do's and don'ts, life would be easier. Unfortunately, a bunch of insincere physical acts do not add up to one sincere expression of love, care and something that shows that she is important to him.

When it comes to raising kids, when they are younger you can pull off the appearance of love and affection by spoiling them with money and gifts - but that soon becomes empty and it doesn't take long before they recognize their place in your priorities and what you consider important. In relationships, our loved ones need to feel love, to be loved - sure, part of showing love is doing things that need to be done - but that does not replace the intimate connection that is so important between partners or between parents and their children.

In business, there is a flourishing industry selling to-do lists for leadership, management and greatness. The internet is swamped with blogs and lists of "5 things to do..." or "7 ways to..." or "4 things great people do..." We all want the recipe for greatness and success. The bad news is that authentic leadership and the internal traits of leaders can't be followed on a to-do list. The good news is that we can all learn to understand ourselves, embrace our strengths and recognize our weaknesses. We can also learn to truly respect and appreciate the strengths of others, and the fact they are better than us at some things. Leadership is more BEING (who you are) as opposed to DOING (what you do), and we can all learn to BE leaders. There is no TO-DO LIST for great leadership, but there is a TO-BE LIST!

BE SELF AWARE. It all starts with you. Great leaders know themselves intimately and are as comfortable with their weaknesses and shortcomings as they are with their strengths and natural talents. Great leaders continually seek self improvement and work at overcoming weaknesses that are holding them back or affecting their ability to lead others.

BE SELF CONFIDENT. Because great leaders understand their own shortcomings and are confident in their strengths, they fully accept that others are stronger and better than them in some aspects of life or work. Because they are confident in their own contribution, they are not threatened or insecure when outperformed by others. Great leaders know how to leverage the best of others to create synergy and empower everyone around them.

BE INFLUENTIAL. Leaders who influence others through attraction and persuasion seek a win-win outcome. The opposite of this is a command and control leadership where others are managed through coercion and the threat of punishment. In organizations, employees are permanently under unspoken threat, ranging from poor performance appraisals to termination. Managers who use these threats to get things done will find they have employees, not followers. This is not leadership. Employees need to feel safe and empowered to bring their full contribution to work, even if this means respectfully disagreeing with their manager. Self aware, confident and influential leaders will value this and use the employee's opinions to strengthen the team's decision making ability.

BE EMPATHETIC. Empathetic leaders have the ability to put themselves in others' shoes and see things from the perspective of others. An empathetic leader recognizes and accepts the plight, opinion or approach of others, and adapts to accommodate and help to the best of their ability. Listening is key to understanding and developing empathy.

BE HUMBLE. Regardless of position and power, great leaders don't regard themselves as superior to others. These leaders are humble and practice servant leadership. Leading is an honour bestowed on the leader by the followers - they have chosen to follow, which means they trust the leader to take care of them and to have their best interest at heart. Humble doesn't mean weak, mild or meek - humble simply means recognizing the privilege and responsibility, that it is a gift and that the leader's role is to serve as much as it is to lead.

Again, the great news is that everyone can learn to be these things. It takes time, practice and an investment in learning to understand yourself and others - but the reward is phenomenal. There is no better compliment than being regarded a great leader by those who are discerning about who they follow. Finally, there is one last point great leaders always have to remember: Leadership is not about how you feel, but how you make others feel.

Great managers know what they need from others. Great leaders know what others need from them.

Choosing The Best Web Hosting Companies

As you would know that MyBrainStock believes strongly in promoting entrepreneurship, I would like to continue providing fruitful ways to start a business online. In my previous article, 'This Is The Right Time To Go Online And Start A Business', I have already explained you why this is the right time to go online to start a business or to have a website for your existing business. I have also explained you how a website can be made into a business model, in the article, 'Turn Your Website Into A Business Model'. Now to continue providing you the best ways of doing this, I will start posting articles on the best webhosting companies to choose from. You will get to know the pros and cons of each webhosting provider so that you would be able to choose the best webhosting company for you.

Why You Should Be So Careful In Choosing Webhosting company?

When it comes to choosing the best webhosting company, you need to consider a lot of factors like the space that you need based on the type of your website bandwidth, quality of support provided to you etc.

1. Space

The first thing that comes to mind while choosing the webhosting provider is the space that your website is going to occupy. If your website is a social networking site, or a site that deals with Art and Design, you need to have a lot of space for pictures. Suppose, a user has a 250 k picture in his album. Multiply this with the number of users signing up for your site. Let us say, 1k users per week. 250 x 1000 kb = 250 MB of space. After 4 weeks you will have 1 GB of space already over. This is the case if a user has 1 picture. Think about his album has a 100 photos ! and multiply this with the 1000 users!! Alright, I am not here to panic you. I am just providing you the way to calculate how much approximate space you need. This is only for websites which have a larger community. If you have a website to sell your products, then you don't need to worry about. You will have a defined number of pictures and videos.

2. Bandwidth

This second thing that comes to my mind is the bandwidth. It seems to be a jargon at first sight. But, it is so simple than it should be. It is the amount of data transferred. The more your site's bandwidth, the more faster it loads. In layman terms, bandwidth is nothing but the measurement that will tell you how good is your site at handling a sudden rise in traffic to your site. You need to be careful in analyzing the bandwidth of your site. This could be an approximate calculation from the budget you have planned for your advertisements. Simple! The more you advertise, the more is your traffic! you will be able to get to an approximate number for your site and choose the webhosting plan based on that. Further, you should consider the number of images on your site that would be loaded when a visitor visits your site. The more the visitors, the more bandwidth you require!

3. Support:

The third main factor that comes to my mind is the quality of support the webhosting company provides you. You might choose a company that is overseas! Will they respond to your calls and mails? What if they don't? You will be in trouble and your business will be in trouble. You will fail to provide the best solutions for your customers. To make sure this doesn't happen, make sure the webhosting company provides proper support through toll free numbers, responding to emails with best answers and not obfuscating or evasive answers, prioritizing your issues properly by raising tickets (aka incidents) with proper priority and show that they are continuously improving the way they provide service to you. You can review about a company online. But just by reviewing it you will not be able to choose the best webhosting company. You will have to do some home works on that by yourself.

4. Price:

Many of us will have this factor as the primary when it comes to choosing the best webhosting companies. Even if it sounds better for the first time, this might take you to the wrong path. you need to have a balance between everything, say, space, bandwidth, support, price etc and should not choose the provider just by looking at the price they provide. Consider all the above factors and compare the webhosting companies and do some home work yourself and choose the best webhosting company. To make this work easy for you, MyBrainStock will be publishing articles on various best rated webhosting companies from which you can choose on for you that suits your business rather than only your budget!

5. Other factors:

Webhosting companies provide you  with a lot of other services and offers like unlimited email accounts, Google Adwords credit, e-commerce, SEO etc and promises like money back guarantee. It's up to your needs to choose and go for them. Of course you can go for them without compromising above factors, as they are added benefits for your business

So I will be posting articles about the best webhosting companies soon. Go and get started with your website plan and let us host it on the best servers!

Recommended Best Webhosting Companies:
1. Lunarpages
2. iPage

How To Be A Leader

Suppose you are the leader of a team in your workplace or institution and let us say, you have around thirty to forty people working under you and you have a manager above you, who is your boss. I am going to tell you some points to fine tune yourself to become a successful leader. As a leader, your primary objective should be to stand out of the rest of your team and to be a role-model for everyone. As everybody knew, a leader should not only be the best performer of the team but also the best motivator for his team. You should keep this in mind. Interact with your team members often, no matter how big your team is. Do it through e-mail, mobile or personally based on your team size. Solve their problems then and there and do not let the problems accumulate. Solving problems shows your responsiveness and responsibility you take for your team members. Responding to a person is the best way to create love and respect for you in his heart.

A FRIEND:

You must respond to each and everyone of your team as quick as possible and find a positive solution for every problem. You must be approachable and always create an amicable environment around you and should not let people hesitate to talk approach you. Always post statements which are reflexive. Instead of saying, "You didn't tell me.", you can say, "I did not know it".

If your team fails, say, "I am responsible". Be accountable and responsible for your team. Reply with unambiguous and explicit answers for questions posted to you. Your answer should be 'yes' or 'no' or any clear atomic statement rather than evasive and ambiguous statements. Do not ask for excuse for your failure. The world will never accept excuses. Just say, "I am sorry, I failed. I am responsible".

Time management is an essential factor that could provoke you at times. You need to know how to schedule time for your own works and your team's works. You must be a proper communication channel between your manager and team members or else you will be in trouble. When you deal with your manager, always trash your ego and apologize for your mistakes. Ask him to correct you and behave like a learner. Mark of a leader is, of course, humility. And last but not least, as soon as you get the 'Team Leader' label, just forget it that moment. I mean, do not call yourself, "I am a leader", but instead change the label and say to yourself, "I am just a sincere and responsible worker for my team" because the former statement has the evil power to concentrate your superiority complex and spoil your career, beware!!!

If you are novice in vocabulary or even if you are above that level, you have something important to learn. You may be a student, a manager, a business man, or anybody else, there are few words that are used most commonly in your areas of work and it is vital that you are aware of those words. Oxford 3000 provides you a list of 3000 most commonly used words in the areas of Business and Management, Economics, Science, Technology, Arts etc. I would say here is a very good direction for you to learn the words in a meaningful way instead of just learning words randomly, maybe using your dictionary or the Dictionary.com’s ‘word of the day’. If you are familiar with all these words, I am sure that your confidence level will boost up and you will be able to present your ideas in the most efficient and exceptional way to others in presentations, seminars, meetings, exams, mails etc.

oxfordadvancedlearnersdictionary.com says that “The keywords of the Oxford 3000 have been carefully selected by a group of language experts and experienced teachers as the words which should receive priority in vocabulary study because of their importance and usefulness”

Review on the book 'Discover The Diamond In You' By Prof. Arindam Chaudhuri

Another pretty good book by you professor! Thanks. It will take you an hour to complete the book. Fore worded by the start Sharukh Khan, the book speaks about success and how one can discover himself or herself and shine like a diamond in his/her life. The book gives you some crispy solution to achieve greatness in your life and it tells you this with a lot of case studies. Hmmm, my general knowledge improved a bit !!! :)

It has something similar to his previous book 'Count your chickens before they hatch' but, that book was more centered on our career and there was no personal touch whereas this book has some personal touch. It talks more about the personal life of various people who struggled to achieve what they dreamt.

Of course, this book helps you in your career development too but in an entrepreneurial perspective rather than from an employee's perspective.

If you are starting your career and had not read such motivating books then, you can go for it. If you are a philosopher or a strict follower of Robin Sharma or Chetan Bhagat, then I would say, there is nothing special for you here. You will find the same stuff here but at least it might help you to refresh the same old thoughts by increasing the energy and remind you that you should be on the right track with the same spirit as when you started!!!

Think Before Believing Your Good Friend

If you are in a position to delegate a responsibility to a responsible person, then you have something to trouble your mind during your leisure hours. You need to think, think and think to decide on a choice. Before putting a person in a higher position, where he/she has to manage a handful of his/her fellow team mates, you need to consider a lot of factors which might, if not considered, make you worry for your decision.

Let us say, you have a person in your team who is a good team player and who had already conquered your heart for the leadership position, about which we are talking about. The most important factor you need to consider is the impact of his promotion, on the team, which he is going to manage. He may be your favorite. But, what if he is not for the team? What if someone in the team already had a bad experience with him because of his behavior? What if he bullies? What if he is a person, who shows favoritism towards his personal friends in team, which could spoil the productivity of the team? What if he is a person, who always make fun of others and one way or other had hurt others' sentiments? He may be good at his office work but, when it comes to handling people, the decision of choosing him for a leadership position should be people-centric rather than work-centric, since work is, of course done by people themselves, say his people who are going report to him.
A good leader should be like a judge. He should neither bias nor bully. He should be equanimous and should demonstrate maturity and be a role model for his fellow beings. He should be very careful in humorous situations, as there are chances where any statement made for fun, could hurt the receiver deeply. In a team each member will be different in age, race, and sex and will have difference in thoughts and opinion. A good leader is a person who considers all these and makes sure that each one in the team feels comfortable and happy for being in the team.

Commit All Possible Mistakes When They Are Affordable

We all make mistakes but, it really matters where we do this. There are places where your mistakes are forgiven and there are places where you are not expected to make a mistake. You cannot completely insulate you from making mistakes but, you can always make sure that your mistakes are committed under a forgivable environment, from which you can learn and be ready to solve new problems which are similar to problems you had met already.

I will brief this with an example. Imagine, you are a college student and you are asked to give a presentation on one of your interested subjects. While presenting, your professor finds out that the statistics you presented in the PowerPoint seems to be wrong. Will you be punished for this? Will this affect your image among your friends? Never. Your mistake is forgiven in that situation. It is affordable. Nobody is going to question you and punish you severely. Your institution is a place to make mistakes and learn from them.

Now, imagine a different scenario, where you are supposed to give a business presentation to your client and you commit an error in your statistics!!! I don't think this is affordable. You will have to pay a huge penalty for this mistake. This may affect your credibility and the reputation of your organization. Had you committed this mistake already, you wouldn't have committed it now. So, search for problems, commit mistakes at the earliest, when it is affordable.

Don't Cut The Cake Till The Last Guest Comes In

The success of any leadership lies in how good are we in getting a place in others' hearts. The way we treat and handle people in various situation counts. Only our actions can showcase our personality to others which in turn affects the relationship that people like to have with us. If your friends think you as a humble and approachable person, then it is more likely that they share everything with you without any hesitation. That approachable quality is essential in any leadership. If you lack this quality then you will fail to understand the real feelings of your people which will lead to a poor leadership.

Now, I am writing this post to emphasise on one particular quality that every leader should possess. This quality is the one which is going to differentiate you from the rest of the leaders. It is 'Respecting Individuality' or in other words, considering every individual around you as a precious gift. I would explain this to you with an example.

I can take an example of a small meeting. Let us say, you have called all your friends for a meeting and some of your friends are ready in front of you waiting for you to break the silence. But, one of your friends had already called you in phone and informed you that he would be late for the meeting because of some personal problems. What would you do now? Will you just start the meeting? NO, It is better not to start it immediately.  There are people out there who don't even come for the meeting. But, this guy has made all his efforts to make sure he is in the meeting. Spending one's time is not an easy task. He must have sacrificed something to come to your meeting. How are you going to show the gratitude? First choice should be to wait for him as that would demonstrate the way you treat him. Before deciding this, you may ask your friends who are waiting with you, if they are comfortable with the decision. If they are not, then it is good to call your friend who is on the way, and let him know the status of the meeting and apologise to him for starting the meeting before his arrival. This will demonstrate the respect you show towards him and your quality of considering each and every person as precious individual. Next time, if you schedule a meeting, I am sure, the person who comes late today will be the first to enter the meeting room.

This might seem to be simple and uninteresting. But, it teaches you a lot. Leaders are not people who are sitting at the top, being unreachable and giving directions to their fellow beings. But, they are people who are always available to each and every fellow beings in such a way that everybody should think that his/her leader is solely for him/her. I had already told you about this in one other post. This way of treating people is similar to a word called 'virtualization' in computer science. Virtualization means, a system which handles millions of people would behave extremely personalised to each and every user in such a way that every user would think that the system had been made only for him/her. An ATM can be taken as an example. Leaders are people who will make their team think that they are only for them...!

I Understood Why My Teacher Asked Me To TakeUp Initiatives

When I was in my college my teacher always insisted us to organize some functions periodically. She asks us to give opportunity to everyone in the class. The turn comes to each and everyone and during his/her turn, one has to lead the entire class in achieving something together as a team, like organizing functions or completing a technical project together. Those days we did everything without knowing the fruitful results that they would bring us in our future. We knew that it would be useful for us but now, I am sure all of my friends would have seen the benefits in front of their eyes. Taking up initiatives looks easier than it actually is. When you do something on your own you are exposed to problems and you will be pushed to situations to solve those problems by your own thereby learn lessons for your future.

When I took up my first initiative of organizing a function, there was a big fight among us just for choosing a name for the function. It killed a couple of days in solving this problem itself. Now I know how to start and what to avoid. Next time, for my second initiative, I will not do the same mistake. This is how we need to learn. We need to keep on refining our methodologies in handling problems. As days pass, the lessons should add up to our methodology and make it as perfect as possible. I will tell a simple example. When you organize an activity, the key success of the activity lies in the delegation process. You, as a leader, should be very careful in choosing people to assign appropriate task to them. You cannot give me a design work just like that. I will not do it. I have interest in computer maintenance. I will do it more efficiently than the design work. I learnt the art of assigning tasks to appropriate persons from my college functions where I use to assign it perfectly as I knew my friends personally well. If one is good in drawing and passionate about it, I assign the art work and the design part of the activity. If he is good in photography I give him an opportunity to do a video documentation of the activity. If a guy is good in speaking and bargaining, I send him to buy all the items for the activities there by I can reduce the cost of conducting the activity. This is how management works. Simple!

If you look deep into this, you can see that, everybody gets a challenging task, which is something bigger than what actually they do usually. They will have a satisfaction of work and they will not lose their spirit till the end of the activity. I can complete the activity successfully. Win-win situation! There are lots and lots of lessons to be learned from this. Those are hidden lessons to be explored by you. It can be explored only if you take up an initiative and start to lead! All the best!
